about

For fans of joy (-less) (-ous) computer music.
A study composed over a few months in 2019.
In this study I use over 7,000 sine wave oscillators tuned in just relationship to a single vibratory cycle of 0.00037hz. These relationships are confounded by the use of "plasmatic drift," based on the thinking of Horatiu Radulescu.
An interdependent system, everything modulates everything else. Like FM synthesis, but at once cruder and more complex.
Like standing on the surface of the sun.
Like standing in the centre of a hug.

Sam Dunscombe Berlin, Germany

I am a performer-composer working with clarinets, computers, and microphones. I'm interested in the different ways music lets us experience time, which has drawn me to areas like spectralism, just intonation, free improv, new complexity, field recording, audio engineering, electronic music, etc. I have recordings on Black Truffle, Another Timbre, Wandelweiser, Marginal Frequency, Mode, and others ... more
